Ok, maybe it’s not quite a pilgrimage, but this weekend I will be making a grand and triumphant return to my beloved apartment building after a long absence. I just got back from spending 6 weeks studying in Cusco, Peru, where unfortunately, there were no signs about heat systems, fire drills, and rats in the building where I lived. (What a great addition to the blog they would have made though!)
If we’re lucky, after this weekend I’ll have the blog back in full force.
After hearing Lucy angrily yelling in the hallway the night before, I found this in the elevator the next day.

If nothing else, the fact that no respectable piece of furniture could fit through that front door would be punishment enough.

As a Kennilworth tenant emerges from the elevators to retrieve their mail, a row of signs is posted for their convenience on the opposing wall. Just in case you left some maple syrup on your rugs, Lucy reminds us all that bugs can and WILL attack. And don’t forget, there are consequences for those bleach parties you have in your living room.

I wonder who was being targeted with the rice comment?

It’s impossible not to slam the doors, especially when the windows are open and create a vacuum, so you really can’t blame us on this one.

Actually, come to think of it… PLEASE assign a day!

Note: Despite what this sign says, all the apartments on the upper-level floors were still stifling hot when the city hit sub-zero temperatures.
